The Lunacal MCP server lets AI assistants and agents work with your Lunacal account through the Model Context Protocol. Once connected, you can ask your assistant things like “Am I free Thursday afternoon?”, “Book a 30-minute call with priya@acme.com tomorrow at 3pm” or “Create a 45-minute Strategy Session event type” — and it will do it in Lunacal for you.

Server URL

You don’t need an API key. The first time you connect, your AI client opens a Lunacal sign-in and consent screen. Approve it and the client receives a token that acts on your behalf. You can disconnect at any time from your AI client’s connector settings.

Available tools

The MCP server exposes the following tools. Your AI assistant picks the right one automatically based on what you ask.

Account & availability

Bookings

Event types

For full request and response details of each operation, see the API Documentation.
Tools such as Create booking, Cancel booking and Update event type make real changes to your account and may notify your attendees. Most AI clients ask you to confirm before running them — review the details before approving.

Connect your AI agent

Works on Claude.ai (web), Claude Desktop and the Claude mobile apps.
1

Open Connectors

Go to Settings → Connectors in Claude.
2

Add a custom connector

Click Add custom connector, enter Lunacal as the name and paste the server URL:
3

Sign in to Lunacal

Click Connect. Sign in to Lunacal and approve access on the consent screen.
4

Use it in a chat

In a new chat, open the + / tools menu, make sure Lunacal is enabled, and ask away.
On Team and Enterprise plans, an organization Owner may need to add the connector first under Organization settings → Connectors.

Example prompts

Try these once you’re connected:
  • “What does my availability look like for the rest of this week?”
  • “Book a Discovery Call with alex@company.com next Monday at 10am IST.”
  • “List all my bookings for tomorrow and cancel the one with John.”
  • “Create a 20-minute Quick Chat event type and publish it.”
  • “Unpublish my Summer Workshop event.”

Troubleshooting

Your session has expired or was revoked. Disconnect and reconnect the Lunacal connector in your AI client to sign in again.
Make sure the connector is enabled for the current chat (in Claude and ChatGPT, check the tools / Developer mode menu). In CLI and IDE clients, restart the client after editing the config file.
Check that pop-ups aren’t blocked for your AI client, and that you’re using the exact URL https://mcp.lunacal.ai/mcp.
Times are stored in UTC. Mention your timezone in your prompt (for example, “3pm IST”) or make sure your Lunacal profile timezone is correct.

Security & privacy

  • The AI client only gets access after you approve it on Lunacal’s consent screen.
  • Access tokens are short-lived and are sent only to mcp.lunacal.ai.
  • Revoke access anytime by removing the Lunacal connector from your AI client.
